NJ Transit customers stung by Sandy to get faster trains, more routes to Hoboken


Jim Langell hasn’t had a normal commute to work in 137 days.

He and other riders on NJ Transit’s Gladstone Branch have had their travel routines upended by Hurricane Sandy, which snapped giant wooden poles that carried electric catenary wires and destroyed an electrical substation near Hoboken Terminal.
