Whenever Audi releases a new “A” vehicle, its a safe bet that an “S” variant is soon to follow Such is the case with the newly announced 2013 A3 Sportback. To give the slick 5-door an extra dose of fun, two doors have been removed, and more power has been added to fill the void.
The new three door hatch oozes sex and performance, and Audi has not disappointed. The long list of fuel savers from the A3 have all been replaced with a new turbocharged 2.0-liter that pumps out 300 horsepower. Thanks to advances in weight savings and engine tech like direct injection , the powerhouse under the hood also manages to sip fuel providing a 30+ mpg rating on the Euro scale.
