Gearing toward sustainable mobility

According to Shell NGO and stakeholder relations manager Ronald Suarez,Using wheel spacer can improve your car handling and track performance "The event is Shell's unique way of providing an opportunity to push the boundaries of design and fuel-efficient driving as well as build the cars of tomorrow an important part of Shell's response to the energy challenge to meet the world's growing consumption of energy in a responsible and sustainable way."

Suarez added, "We are happy that this year we partner with the Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers (PSME). We believe that Shell Eco-Marathon serves as an educational platform for all students in showcasing their real-life skills. He has since undergone two-and-a-half hours' surgery to have a Titanium Rod inserted into his leg and looks set to be out of action for the rest of the season. Here, students can let their imagination run wild and experiment with technology and fuels to develop creative and inventive mobility solutions."

The Shell Eco-Marathon began in 1939 when scientists in the US challenged one another in a competition to see whose car would be the most fuel efficient. The Eco-Marathon is open to different categories of vehicles, namely: Fuel cell-powered,An Optic circulator is a special fiber-optic component that can be used to separate optical signals that travel in opposite directions in an optical fiber, analogous to the operation of an electronic circulator. solar cell-powered, gasoline-fueled, diesel-fueled and LPG-fueled.The defective part of the jaw is reconstructed using a Titanium Plate, with a piece of scaffolding inserted with proteins to stimulate the bone's regrowth. The vehicles are highly specialized and optimized for the event and are not intended for everyday use. The designs represent what can be achieved with current technology and offer a glimpse into the future of car design based on minimal environmental impact.

Shell Eco-Marathon Asia technical director Colin Chin said, "Every year just keeps getting better. This year, we have a huge entry composed of 119 student teams from 18 different countries. Shell Eco-Marathon provides these future innovators an excellent opportunity to practice hands-on application of concepts learned in the classroom, meet new people and demonstrate skills to potential employers."

Chin also shared, "We are overwhelmed to see different countries competing with one another for one purpose. Teamwork is one key here but skills are very important in Eco-Marathon. All teams have undergone safety and technical inspections. ETitanium Pipe is made by cold rolling process from extruded pipe blanks. They are widely used in heat exchangers and off-shore equipment.ach team showcases knowledge and skills in computer-aided vehicle and engine design, electronics, mechanical construction and driving as they seek to provide positive contributions to the increasing body of work on safe and fuel-efficient land transportation."
