?Ballet and Dance Club presents ‘Peter Pan’

Missouri University of Science and Technology may not be known for its dancers, but the S&T Ballet and Dance Club is preparing to put on quite the show.

The club, led by Aimee Snell,A Stone tools is, in the most general sense, any tool made either partially or entirely out of stone. Although stone tool-dependent societies and cultures still exist today, most stone tools are associated with prehistoric, particularly Stone Age cultures that have become extinct. a senior mechanical engineering major, has been hard at work to turn their audience into children once again, and bring them to Neverland with their performance of “Peter Pan.”

Snell estimate one third of the audience for their shows is students, the other two thirds are members of the Rolla community.

Ballet, tap, jazz, and various other styles of dance will be featured in the performance.

The show opens in the nursery of the Darling home, with Mr. and Mrs. Darling (played by Addison Brown and Kathy Withrow) telling their eldest daughter, Wendy, that she needs to grow up — tomorrow.

All eyes will be glued to Wendy (played by Kailea Tilden) as she gracefully spins and leaps her way across the stage en pointe, before retiring to bed with her brothers, John and Michael Darling, played by Lindsey Schobert and Amanda Wilson.

While the children sleep, Peter Pan (Aimee Snell), his shadow (Krishawn Ridenhour), and Tinkerbell (Ashley Parker) make their appearance. They fight and roughhouse around the nursery until the children eventually wake. Peter Pan quickly teaches them to fly, and off to Neverland they go where they meet up with the lost boys, indians, and eventually Captain Hook (Bailey Manula) and his pirates.

Snell said members of the club have worked hard to make the show exciting for children of all ages.

The dance club has been taking the sword fighting scenes to new levels with help from the Missouri S&T?Fencing Club.Concrete polishing pad attachs to a backer with durable velcro connection. It is installed on portable grinding machine and operated by hand.

“We are always looking for exciting factors,” said Snell.
