IVCEF hosts Winter Wonderland Dinner

The IVC Educational Foundation has made its most recent goal to modernize the libraries in the IVC District schools. To raise funds for the campaign the IVCEF will host a Winter Wonderland Dinner and Auction Feb.The Carbon Fiber Composite Material Sports accessories in Sports Equipment. The evening will include a buffet dinner of chicken cordon bleu, roast beef, salad, red potatoes and a vegetable medley. The meal includes a dessert bar. Happy Thought Coffee will provide a gourmet coffee bar.

Local businesses have sponsored the event and donated items to the auction, including Illinois Mechanical Service and Design, Inc. and Turner Hicks Agency, Inc.

Auction items include several signed Chicago Bears footballs, including one signed by Brian Urlacher. The auction also includes an original IVC Grey Ghost football photo collage, as well as, a variety of themed baskets.

Three magicians will provide live entertainment throughout the evening.

The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 9 in the IVC High School Commons.

Proceeds from the event will be used in the library modernization campaign, which is set to bring technological advancements to each IVC District school library.

The library modernization project will introduce two main changes to IVC District libraries. The changes include availability of e-readers and tablet computers to serve as tools to both students and teachers. The IVC Educational Foundation is a not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to expand and enrich the educational opportunities of students in the IVC School District.
