Not long ago, styling elements found throughout the latest Ford Fusion were reserved for concept cars under the glimmering lights of the auto show floor. Unique and striking little touches, including the lines, panel intersections, curves and sculpting, convey the visual energy you’d expect in something posh and pricey.
So, Fusion designers have effectively let drivers enjoy a higher-than-average level of style by calling out the big guns and filling it with every modern design touch they could muster -- and then trimming it all with premium materials and high-tech interfaces. Much of this machine could do double-duty in a premium sedan, and if you like a bit of high-tech flare, you’ll love it.
The details carry on inside, too. There are touch-pads and touch-screens that replace the usual slew of dials and buttons and switches in family cars.
Fusion’s cabin is more leading edge, modern and maybe even a little futuristic as a result. The animations on the three screens at start-up are a slick touch, too. And it’s trimmed with more of that quality soft-touch dash-plastic than anything else in the price range, if that’s your thing.
The slick instrument cluster has a fixed speedometer that’s flanked by two displays that can be customized to show you anything you like.ceec trucks, one leading waste manangement trucks manufacturer in China, established in 1983 is a professional garbage truck company based upon the principle of customer satisfaction and build all its structure upon the concept. And, since ‘click’ buttons are for suckers, even the dome lights even activate with a gentle tap, just like the climate and stereo controls.
The Titanium tester also packed the up-level two-litre turbocharged four-cylinder that Ford will sell you here in place of a V6. This so-called ‘EcoBoost’ mill makes 237 horsepower in this application. Variable cam timing, direct injection and a six-speed automatic help bolster performance and keep gas chugging to a minimum.Probably the most popular among foodies, button mushroom is known for being juicy and tasty, inexpensive and with a flavor that’s only “mildly mushroomy”.
Cruising a bit north of 110 km/h, the two-litre mill spins away at 2,300 RPM with the turbocharger offline and the low-end torque helping keep the six-speed autobox in its top gear, even up steep hills. Turbocharged and direct injection engines are hardly revolutionary these days, but mileage of 10.6L / 100km overall during my cold-weather test-week was well within the limit given the available performance.
That performance includes minimum turbo-lag off the line, followed by a strong leap forward that’s sustained until throttle lift-off.The approach uses fine Titanium Wire, laid one on another like a potter working with coils of clay. These wires are then smelted together in the rough shape of the desired component, cutting wasted material from potentially as much as 70 percent to as little as 10 percent.Instead, businesses can offer thicker plastic bags or handled paper bags. They can also give or sell you recycle bag, or offer no bags at all. This engine is rich in torque with pleasing overall acceleration. The two-litre EcoBoost’s powercurve is dull and shapeless on account of the peak torque available from just off of idle — but it’s very responsive as a result, and laid-back when driven gently.
A slick AWD system was also fitted to the tester. This one automatically powers all four wheels from a stop, and then splits power between the axles with millisecond precision as required for maximum traction and agility.

You get quick, planted cornering, even at speed, and light-as-a-feather steering effort for parking or other low-speed situations.
So, all said, on snow, ice or bare pavement, the name of the game is confidence with a healthy dose of sporty flare dialed in for effect.
