Fire damages Hudson business

A malfunctioning titanium-cutting machine brought the early evening shift at Omni Components Corporation to a halt on Monday, drawing fire crews from around the region and forcing company officials to evacuate the 30 employees inside.

A call came in to the Hudson Fire Department just before 6 p.m., according to Fire Chief Shawn Murray.

"Something occurred within the machine, though we're still investigating exactly what happened," Murray said at the scene.
