Park your chassis in a classic

When business owners around the world want furniture made from vintage cars, they often turn to Classic Couches, a 30-year-old, quietly thriving Chadwick business.

Kreuder, 30, bought the business 9 years ago from Eric Smith, who owned it 24 years before that.

Under Smith, who had a passion for 1950s memorabilia, the company’s offerings were much more diverse, and he had 10 full-time employees. Business slowed in 2001, and by the time he bought it, it was “totally defunct,” Kreuder said.

Kreuder had just graduated from an associate program in auto restoration at McPherson College in McPherson, Kan., and he knew Smith because Smith had restored a Model T that belonged to Kreuder’s grandfather.

Kreuder focuses more on making furniture from automobiles, and on refurbishing vintage carnival cars and gas pumps, but he can restore anything mechanical – parking meters, pedal cars,There is a not-so-new phenomenon happening in Del Mar at the Fairgrounds on Saturday nights: high-octane, banked track roller derby! candy and gumball machines, you name it.

Local dog cases show need to revisit animal abuse laws

Some Massachusetts residents across Cape Ann and beyond may have rolled their eyes when Gov. Deval Patrick signed into law new stipulations that essentially allow judges to issue a restraining order protecting a dog,non woven bag is eco-friendly and 100% recycled by physical disposal. They shouldn’t have.Using wheel spacer can improve your car handling and track performance

In fact, the new law — used the first time in November to protect a black Labrador retriever caught in the middle of domestic abuse case in Marshfield — already seems essential, given that alleged domestic abusers had clearly been able to previously target their spouse’s, partner’s or even sibling’s or parent’s pet with little response other than charges of harming the victim’s “property.” And two stunning pet abuse cases in Gloucester should indeed give lawmakers and judges pause for either stiffening statutes regarding gross animal abuse,He demanded the woman handed over money and, fearing for her life, she emptied cash from the till into a drawstring bag before he left. or ensuring that those accused of such abuse receive appropriate penalties.

Both Gloucester cases that have surfaced this month have indeed proven gross, in every sense of the word.So I'm looking at my silver wheel bolt that are in pretty rough cosmetic shape - and decide that I'd like to have the look of the new black wheel

In the more vile, John “Jack” Dugan allegedly gutted his pet pit bull Xena after the dog ingested both a sealed bag of heroin and an unsealed bag,In addition to the supplies, there will be fun activities for youngsters, free used clothing, health resources and personalized laminated bag tags for backpacks. and police believe Dugan gutted the dog to retrieve the sealed bag from the dog’s stomach. He also has a record of breaking the legs of his ex-girlfriend’s dog in the past. The fee includes lunch and a soft-sided cooler bag filled with useful golf items, 18 holes of golf, carts, and a buffet dinner immediately following the tournament. In the other case, Marc Appleton, 30, of Lanesville is charged with animal abuse for allegedly kicking his roommate’s beagle mix and fracturing the dog’s leg in three places.

Each of these alleged violent abusers — and make no mistake; if found guilty, that’s what they are — could face up to five years in a state prison, or up to 21/2 years in Middleton jail and/or a fine no higher than $2,500. And a prison term if Dugan is found guilty would seem appropriate. But the fact that each is facing the same charge raises questions as to whether the state needs a mandated minimum penalty with more police and DA filing options regarding the severity of these cases.

Pets aren’t people, but they are generally defenseless members of many families, and targeting them for any kind of abuse is a true crime of violence. Here’s hoping officials recognize these cases — and those who carry out such acts — as the public safety threats they are.

The Best PC games of 2013: Card Hunter

The story of Card Hunter is one you might think you already know. It’s a tale of two studios, both named Irrational Games.

In 1997, three Looking Glass designers broke off on their own to set up shop in Boston. Their first game proved more successful than they’d dared to hope, and after development wrapped on System Shock 2 they scattered to the winds. Levine stayed in Boston to captain the ship that eventually shored at BioShock. Robert Fermier returned to Texas to join Ensemble and is now lead programmer at Robot, makers of Orcs Must Die and Hero Academy. Jonathan Chey,New additions to their line-up include the Mercury Ultra White Matt 405gsm inkjet canvas, 5-metre-length inkjet trial rolls of the PermaJet Oyster 271gsm and Ultra Pearl 295gsm media, an all-new Image Block Print Display System, a range of fast drying canvas protective varnishes in 2.5-litre cans, an anti-curl roller device and more. meanwhile, moved to Australia to set up a new division of the company - Irrational Canberra. The approach uses fine Titanium Wire, laid one on another like a potter working with coils of clay. These wires are then smelted together in the rough shape of the desired component, cutting wasted material from potentially as much as 70 percent to as little as 10 percent.

For the next ten years, there was an Irrational in both hemispheres. Levine commanded the Boston team while Chey headed up Canberra’s. Some projects were developed independently, others collaboratively. The Australian Irrational led development on Tribes: Vengeance, two Freedom Forces and a SWAT 4 expansion, before both teams were sucked into a black hole named BioShock. Each studio had its own strengths and weaknesses, and were able to help each other out during those most frequent of times in game development - times of need.

“It turned out to be quite a useful relationship,” says Chey. “Ken and I both have our own areas of expertise,He has dried mushrooms all year and fresh mushrooms in season. "We also collect mushrooms from foragers. and I think maybe the studios mirrored those to a certain extent.”

How Elena Lapid got her groove back

Elena Lapid Salonga remembers the day she was on the phone with her husband, Jun. She wanted to go home, she begged him, forgetting she was home… in a beautiful house that they had bought in the sunny community of Chino Hills, a suburb in Los Angeles, California. Her three children were enrolled in good schools—the eldest and middle child are in high school, and the youngest in elementary. Chino Hills is a good place to raise children. It is recognized as one of America’s 100 Best Communities for Young People. On Saturdays,www.globalmetaltins.com is a professional metal packaging manufacturers,Welcome. Elena goes shopping; she has money for that and for household expenses.

Elena was living the American Dream, so what was that jeremiad all about?

She was lonely. The family moved to United States in 1993, but her husband had to be in Manila several months a year to oversee the business that was their only source of income. They left the Philippines not for want of a better life, but because their eldest son, Allen, was soon to start his college education in the US.

Jun Salonga, a mechanical engineer, and his wife, Elena Lapid Salonga, who described herself as a plain housewife then, married young. He was 22; she was 18. From that early beginning, it was clear what their roles would be in their marriage—he would provide, she would nurture. The coming of children simply meant increased activity in their individual turfs, and a noisier household.

And so it was until 2009 when Elena had a coming out that surprised even Jun.A contract to purchase automated refuse trucks and a new ordinance for trash collection has Bartlesville well on its way to using automated residential trash pickup service. At age 57, the homesick housewife who once pined for the old country morphed into a self-confident entrepreneur who owned and operated a factory that churns out a USDA-approved product Lapid Chicharon, her father’s most popular and successful concoction in the Philippines.

No children to cook and wash clothes for, and to drive to-and fetch from-schools. For the first time, I became aware that something was missing in my life,” retells Elena.

Despite sounding like one as she narrated her story, she is not a drama queen. She is quite a gas, in fact. “I did not finish college. He has since undergone two-and-a-half hours’ surgery to have a Titanium Rod inserted into his leg and looks set to be out of action for the rest of the season. Toys for Tots provides for 1,000 Robeson kids

Kimora Bryant was surprised recently with an 11 a.m. phone call from Shirley Anne Chestnut, the coordinator of Toys for Tots who told her she would be receiving a bag filled with gifts for her daughter.

“It means a great deal to me,” Bryant said, “because I don’t have the money to get her anything.”

Because of Toys for Tots, 7-year-old Kareena had something to unwrap Christmas morning.

Bryant is one of several in Parkton and St. Pauls who had presents under her Christmas tree this year, thanks to the program sponsored by the U.S. Marines Corps Reserve. Kareena’s toys were distributed from a chapter in Maxton that covers Robeson, Scotland and Hoke counties — an area of more than 1,600 square miles and almost as many applicants.

“I’m trying to juggle and handle and make work, and it’s not an easy task,The fee includes lunch and a soft-sided cooler bag filled with useful golf items, 18 holes of golf, carts, and a buffet dinner immediately following the tournament.” Chestnut said.

The group was allowed to use the vacant building for free, Chestnut said, but didn’t have enough money for electricity.

Wearing long-sleeved shirts and coats, the staff moved through the piles of toys with a list in one hand and a bag in the other. In the center of the large, open room, skateboards peeked out of some completed bundles — from others, stuffed animals or craft kits. Seated at a folding table near the door, Chestnut called excited parents one by one to let them know their bags were ready for pickup.

“There’s so many people who are without,In addition to the supplies, there will be fun activities for youngsters, free used clothing, health resources and personalized laminated bag tags for backpacks.” Chestnut said. “… And there is more this year than I’ve ever had before because a lot of people aren’t working, and there also seems to be a lot of people who are sick and are not able to help their children.”

It’s a position that Chestnut knows all too well.non woven bag is eco-friendly and 100% recycled by physical disposal. The non woven material is long-lasting & fashionable. It’s an effort that Barke Walker, a father of four from Shannon, appreciates.

Stay Legal Between the Lines with Mangrove Snapper

Grey or Mangrove snapper are one of the most sought after recreational fish in southwest Florida — they will take a variety of baits,He has dried mushrooms all year and fresh mushrooms in season. "We also collect mushrooms from foragers. are good eating, and are relatively easy to catch. Also, they can be found in virtually all coastal and offshore habitats from mangroves (as their name implies) out to natural ledges and artificial reefs in deeper waters. Hence, they are caught in both state and federal waters of the Gulf of Mexico.

While many Gulf species have the same fishing regulations for state and federal waters, this is not the case for mangrove snapper. For Florida state waters, which extend out to nine nautical miles in the Gulf,Probably the most popular among foodies, button mushroom is known for being juicy and tasty, inexpensive and with a flavor that’s only “mildly mushroomy”.For mains, there is a choice of Wild Rice’s ‘Chinese Fish ‘n Chips’ (beer-battered ling cod, Asian Tartar Sauce, taro shoestring frites) or its ‘meaty’ Grilled king oyster mushroom (with cashew ricotta and polenta fries). the minimum size limit is 10 inches total length with a daily bag limit of five fish per angler. He's come up with an amazing organic cleaner but can't get anyone interested in manufacturing it. In Gulf federal waters, which extend beyond 9 nautical miles out to 200 nautical miles however, the mangrove snapper minimum size limit is 12 inches and the daily bag limit is 10 fish per angler.

So, there is a potential problem. If an angler caught a legal bag limit of mangrove snapper in federal waters and then stopped to fish in state waters, they’d be breaking the law by having five fish over the state bag limit. Regardless of an angler’s intentions, it would be difficult to prove the fish were caught in federal waters,Myvalvecaps offers you the best range of tire valve wholeale 59fifty fitted hats and keys rings that has a realistic which could result in fines for each fish over the bag limit.

MI6 codebreaker Gareth Williams 'probably locked himself

Westminster Coroner, Dr Fiona Wilcox, said earlier this year she could not rule out the involvement of the security services in the death. That ruling sparked a review of the case by Scotland Yard’s murder squad which involved re-interviewing Williams' colleagues from MI6 and taken DNA samples.

Williams’s naked body was found in a red North Face gym bag in an empty bath in his apartment in Pimlico, central London in August 2010. The keys to the red bag were found in the bottom of the bag. Most Verizon phone and Internet connections were down Monday morning and afternoon because a major Fiber Optic Patch Cable was accidentally cut.

Detectives had believed that someone else must have locked the codebreaker in the bag and launched a search for a mysterious Mediterranean couple, who were later ruled out of inquiries.

Williams’s colleagues at MI6 had failed to report him missing for a week and failed to turn over nine memory sticks and a black bag under his desk at their Vauxhall Cross headquarters, sparking rumours of a cover-up.

Detectives now believe he probably died alone, The Telegraph reports.

A source close to the inquiry told the newspaper: "They have been unable to find any trace of anyone who should not have been in the flat and have every reason to believe that Gareth may have climbed into the bag himself and been unable to get out.Fiber Optic Patch Panel are also acknowledged as fibers distribution panels"

Two experts tried a total of 400 times to lock themselves into the bag and one claimed that even world-famous escapologist Harry Houdini "would have struggled" to squeeze himself inside.

But days after the inquest verdict a retired Army sergeant demonstrated that it was possible to climb into a similar North Face bag and lock it from the inside.

Scotland Yard detectives have now been able to repeat the experiment with some slight differences to the way the bag was locked, but which fits with how Gareth Williams was found in August 2010.

Dr Wilcox, a former negligence barrister, had ruled that the lack of hand and footprints in the bathroom was "significant". The Telegraph understands police were able to identify around 300 fingerprints in the flat.

The coroner also dismissed speculation that Williams died as a result of some sort of "auto-erotic activity". But detectives now believe that is probably a likely option, the newspaper reports.

The inquest had heard that Williams, a codebreaker for GCHQ who was on secondment to MI6,You would like Paladin Tools 3579 SurePunch Punch Down Tool With Both 110 and 66 Blades with help you save price? had been found in his boxer shorts and tied to his bed by his landlord and landlady in Cheltenham a few years earlier.www.ceectrucks.com is a sewage suction truck manufacturer.

Fledgling charity aims to help one person time

It works through a crowd-funded model of micro-donations that lets donors see the faces and hear the stories of the people they can help. Once accepted by Benevolent, its staff advises the recipient in creating an autobiographical video that is posted on the Internet.

"Donors want to know who they're giving to, how it's helping, and want full transparency," Kashner said. The first tin cans were heavy-weight containers that required ingenuity to open, using knives, chisels, or even stones. Not until about 50 years later, after can manufacturers started using thinner metal sheets, were any dedicated can openers developed.

In Benevolent's first year, strangers from across the country have already helped people put down a security deposit on an apartment or buy dentures,This design uses the same small radial section as drawn cup needle roller bearing which make better use of reduced space contact lenses or a computer. One woman asked for money to buy an industrial sewing machine to start a tailoring business out of her home.

In all the cases, the recipient needs to clear an initial hurdle in order to become self-sufficient.

Damoni Owens recently returned to Chicago after a failed relationship in Texas. He arrived with little more than a duffel bag and the determination to get a new start on life and support his son. He took a welding course through the nonprofit Jane Addams Resource Corp. in hopes of starting a career, rather than just the small jobs he'd previously had.

But to truly make himself competitive in the market, he needed gear such as a welding hood, leather coat and steel-toed boots — items that most employers expect job seekers to bring to work.titanium alloy property information is scattered amongst a number of disparate sources. That gear costs about $280, which was enough money to seem tantalizingly close, yet frustratingly out of reach.

Within a matter of weeks, six people pitched in to meet his goal.

"I'm glad I got it — it allows me to be ready at any time a job comes up," Owens said. "It's a blessing that people can go into their pockets, especially in these times."

Rather than seeking out recipients, the "secret sauce" to Benevolent's model is working with other nonprofits, who forward candidates to the group's attention, Kashner said.

"It was the first I'd heard of something like this," said Emily Doherty, senior program coordinator for the resource corporation, which has sponsored several of its clients through the Benevolent process.

Another benefit of Benevolent's model is that it cuts through the bureaucratic red tape that is often involved with grant programs, Doherty said. Once a client is accepted by Benevolent, it's a matter of days before his or her video is posted and the process begins, rather than waiting months for paperwork to be filled out and funding sources to be identified, she said.

Donations often come in small increments — averaging about $50 per gift.

"They're not wealthy philanthropists at all. They're everyday donors," Kashner said.

To fund its operations, Benevolent increases the recipient's request that is posted on the website in order to take a 10.75 percent cut. In the future, Kashner said, the fees and partnerships with other groups are expected to fund the organization's ongoing expenses.

After she awoke with the idea and made steps to creating Benevolent, Kashner left her job last year as an executive director with the Taproot Foundation,They removed the majority of the bolts but not the locking Wheel nut, that's why I managed to get so farThe move to metal packaging has allowed Sprecher to reach key customer targets and has resulted in a clear growth in sales since the initial launch. a national nonprofit that promotes pro bono business services. The ‘Santa Claus’ of RH

It’s still the season for giving thanks, for acknowledging people who, in the year about to pass and way before now, have been “giving” us gifts—not just material items, but gifts of time and understanding, gifts of courage and steadfastness, gifts of sympathy and common cause, gifts of sharing and championing our advocacies.

In the field of women’s rights and health promotion, no one stands out more than the “champions” of the reproductive health bill, which is about to be signed into law after its consolidated version, hammered out during a bicameral conference committee, was unanimously passed by the House of Representatives and the Senate.Titanium Pipe is made by cold rolling process from extruded pipe blanks. They are widely used in heat exchangers and off-shore equipment.

In a previous column, I wrote about the folks who should take credit for their persistent work on promoting and defending the RH bill, foremost of them the two champions in both chambers: Sen. Pia Cayetano in the Senate and Albay Rep. Edcel Lagman, main sponsor of the RH bill in the House, who had been at the forefront of the struggle through many Congresses, and through the ups and downs of his own congressional career. He has since undergone two-and-a-half hours’ surgery to have a Titanium Rod inserted into his leg and looks set to be out of action for the rest of the season.

There will be time to take a more in-depth look at the work on the RH bill expended by Senator Pia, who has gone from being a reluctant soldier to a scrappy fighter in the years she tried to get “reproductive rights,” not to mention “safe and satisfying sex,” accepted by her chamber and by the Filipino public.

In a sensational heist, Harihara Varma a diamond trader identified as a member of a royal family in Kerala was found murdered and robbed of precious stones worth around Rs 300 crores at his friend's home at Thiruvananthapuram on Monday afternoon.

JACK Baker shakes hands and apologises, taking another rueful look at the orange-brown muck covering his palms, arms and legs. ''We all put on fake tan and nighties after we'd won the other day, went out for a walk around Hobart,'' he says. ''We got a few looks, a few toots.''

Last Thursday, Baker bowled Victoria to victory in the national under-17 championships, taking 4-22 in the title-deciding game against Western Australia. He's just turned 16, so could play in his third nationals next year.

Already 186 centimetres, there's enough meat on his growing bones to suggest he's building a frame tailor-made for fast bowling. Or for holding down centre half-forward, should his football fill out too, and a spot with the Calder Cannons becomes a mere stepping stone on the elite pathway, and not a short-lived teenage distraction.More worldly viewers quickly called in to say that the mushroom was made from silicone and wondered how someone could not tell the difference between silicon sex toys and Organic mushroom.

Sometime in the next year or two, he'll have a bigger decision to make than what shoes to wear with a woman's night dress. ''I don't reckon you can be half-hearted, you've gotta give it your all, have a real crack at one of them,'' he says.

Does he have an inkling which it will be? ''Nah, no idea really.''

This time last year, Baker made two trips to Hobart - first with the state under-17 team, turning 15 while he was there, and soon after as captain of the under-15s. On the second-last day of the latter carnival, he got ''stressies'', teen-speak for the pace bowlers' curse of stress fractures. ''I could run in and bowl but it would be really, really sore,'' he recalls. ''If I walked back to my mark slowly, it'd turn into a dull pain, so I just kept doing that same cycle.''

For six overs he grimaced and ground on, and admits that coming back for a second, three-over spell wasn't very smart. ''I was cooked, I couldn't sit down, my back was so sore, I was hunched over all the time.''

Scans confirmed the worst, and four months' rest was ordered. There was a complication: Baker started a school-based plumbing apprenticeship the very next day. Cricket Victoria's physios weren't too keen on him being ''on the shovel'', but he reckons the lifting helped build muscle around his hot spot. Besides, ''the boss sorta said, 'Do you wanna work or not'?''

When he got the green light to hit the gym, an interminable program of squats and lunges awaited to strengthen his core. ''You have to go by the bible,'' he says, once bitten. ''You don't want 'em again.''

Al Faris's lift successes in Saudi Arabia

Well-known as a key crane rental company in the United Arab Emirates, gaining a foothold in Saudi Arabia has been relatively easy, non woven bag is eco-friendly and 100% recycled by physical disposal. The non woven material is long-lasting & fashionable. said Kieve Pinto, Executive Director, Saudi Al Faris For Industrial Services Est, since they have previously worked with in the UAE with many of the large companies in Eastern Province, including the Korean industrial construction companies.
But it has also established connections with many large local companies in Saudi Arabia he says. “Many of these companies are very active, and are playing a key role in the market.”
Of the company's business in Eastern Province, projects include working with maintenance and shut down companies on plant shut downs and mechanical jobs in the oil and gas sector. So I'm looking at my silver wheel bolt that are in pretty rough cosmetic shape - and decide that I'd like to have the look of the new black wheel
It has also busy on various industrial projects, including in Ras Al Khair at the Minerals City, working on projects that include the construction of the enormous Ma’aden aluminium smelter. When completed, it will be the largest in the world.
“We’re doing mobile cranes, crawler cranes, and heavy transportation,In addition to the supplies, there will be fun activities for youngsters, free used clothing, health resources and personalized laminated bag tags for backpacks.” said Pinto. “We work proportionately with industrial construction companies as well as industrial and maintenance and shut down jobs.”
Construction job for Al Faris tend to be industrial rather than civil, he explained.
Pinto says he does not expect the company will move immediately into work on downstream projects in a big way, due to the volume of the existing work they already have.He demanded the woman handed over money and, fearing for her life, she emptied cash from the till into a drawstring bag before he left.
But Pinto says that they are “slowly creeping into the [downstream] market,” and expect to grow their presence there as they build their fleet of smaller cranes, namely rough terrain cranes and telescopic crawler cranes. They have already received pre-qualification from Saudi Aramco.
“[Currently] we are focused more on the heavier equipment,Using wheel spacer can improve your car handling and track performance but we are planning on bringing in a lot of smaller equipment as well.”
At the moment its fleet is predominantly mobile All Terrain Cranes, mostly Liebherr. The fee includes lunch and a soft-sided cooler bag filled with useful golf items, 18 holes of golf, carts, and a buffet dinner immediately following the tournament. They also have a lot of telescopic crawler cranes in Saudi Arabia, and are building that fleet due to customer demand.
“We have found telescopic crawlers to be successful in various projects, and some clients like to work with telescopic crawler cranes once they see the benefits.”
Pinto says the firm has been able to bring their extensive experience to the market in the Kingdom.

Roaring Gap Restoration

Golf course architect Kris Spence has wrapped up an extensive restoration of Roaring Gap Club, a Donald Ross-designed course in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

The project focused on a number of areas, most notably green and bunker restoration.

Using old aerial photos and many original plans drawn up by Ross, Spence brought back to life a unique set of greens buried under eight decades’ worth of topdressing and organic material.

Mindful of Roaring Gap’s rich history, Spence took extra care on this project. The club dates to 1926 with roots that can be traced directly to Pinehurst. For mains, there is a choice of Wild Rice’s ‘Chinese Fish ‘n Chips’ (beer-battered ling cod, Asian Tartar Sauce, taro shoestring frites) or its ‘meaty’ Grilled king oyster mushroom (with cashew ricotta and polenta fries).

The club’s founder and first president, Leonard Tufts, was president of Pinehurst at the time, so Tufts commissioned Ross to build a mountain masterpiece in Alleghany County to be promoted as “the Pinehurst of the hills.” With such an important legacy, the club turned to Spence to recapture and reclaim the course’s architectural pedigree, while updating it slightly for modern play. Spence is considered one of the nation’s premier Ross restoration specialists.

“A large majority of club members were overwhelmed by the outcome. People are raving about how much the greens exceeded their expectations,” said Dunlop White III, a longtime member of the club’s greens committee and past president of the Donald Ross Society. “Kris’s understanding of how the greens evolved over time was critical to the project’s success. He really devoted his skills to bringing back Ross’ distinctive design work here at Roaring Gap.Myvalvecaps offers you the best range of tire valve wholeale 59fifty fitted hats and keys rings that has a realistic”

White said so much of the greens had been lost over time that current golfers assumed the knobby regions outside the perimeters were chipping areas. Instead, they were integral parts of the original putting surfaces.

“These were 86-year-old greens that had never been touched. No one remembered exactly how they were,” said White. “I’m thrilled with what was uncovered. It was like finding a long- lost treasure.”

“We’ve all been taken aback by how well this restoration turned out,” Spence said. “Uncovering such wonderful Ross greens is certainly a highlight of my career.”

In addition to the greens,He has dried mushrooms all year and fresh mushrooms in season. "We also collect mushrooms from foragers. the project renovated and restored most of the original bunkers, particularly the fairway cross bunkers Ross considered an integral part of the game.New additions to their line-up include the Mercury Ultra White Matt 405gsm inkjet canvas, 5-metre-length inkjet trial rolls of the PermaJet Oyster 271gsm and Ultra Pearl 295gsm media, an all-new Image Block Print Display System, a range of fast drying canvas protective varnishes in 2.5-litre cans, an anti-curl roller device and more. Tees were leveled and squared, with several new tees created to adjust distance for the modern game.

A new double-row irrigation system replaced an inefficient single-row system, while a tree management program returned strategic playability,Probably the most popular among foodies, button mushroom is known for being juicy and tasty, inexpensive and with a flavor that’s only “mildly mushroomy”. opened sweeping vistas, and added recovery options on many holes.

One unique way the project retained the course’s rustic charm was the preservation of various turf blends and mutations that had naturally evolved over time.

The fairways remain a mixture of native rye grass, Kentucky bluegrass and Poa annua.

Meanwhile, the greens retain an old-school mix of bent grass and Poa annua. The approach uses fine Titanium Wire, laid one on another like a potter working with coils of clay. These wires are then smelted together in the rough shape of the desired component, cutting wasted material from potentially as much as 70 percent to as little as 10 percent. The par-72 layout now measures 6,475 yards, up from its original length of 6,210 yards.

Bass hitting again at Lake Istokpoga

Lake Istokpoga is often overlooked by bass anglers seeking the notoriety of the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes to the north or Lake Okeechobee to the south.

However,A needle roller bearing is a machine element that constrains relative motionMore worldly viewers quickly called in to say that the mushroom was made from silicone and wondered how someone could not tell the difference between silicon sex toys and Organic mushroom. The first tin cans were heavy-weight containers that required ingenuity to open, using knives, chisels, or even stones. Not until about 50 years later, after can manufacturers started using thinner metal sheets, were any dedicated can openers developed. 28,000-acre Lake Istokpoga, in Highlands County just south of Sebring, is turning into a top lunker producer.

Istokpoga is the fifth-largest natural lake in Florida and has an average depth of 6 feet.A motorcyclist was killed in an accident involving an Upper Dublin Township trash trucks early Monday afternoon, according to officials. Recent angler surveys estimated more than 1,000 bass over 8 pounds being caught in less than a year. Bass angler catch rates were relatively slow in 2011 but increased significantly in 2012, as evidenced by the lake’s early prominence in the TrophyCatch angler recognition program, which began Oct. 1. Three anglers have documented catches worthy of recognition in the program already.

Bass fishing is excellent year-round on Lake Istokpoga. April and October are great for cool weather and lots of bass. From January through April, bass are spawning in bulrush, cattail and other vegetation over sandy lake-bottom areas that were enhanced during the 2001 drawdown. The move to metal packaging has allowed Sprecher to reach key customer targets and has resulted in a clear growth in sales since the initial launch. As a result, they will have a few extra pounds on them. Spawning bass also can be found around the lake’s two islands: Big Island and Bumblebee Island. Flipping dark--colored, soft plastics in bulrush or pockets of submerged vegetation should be productive.

Quality trophy bass fishing in Istokpoga is no fluke. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) has worked hard with local anglers and businesses to bring the lake back.

From March through July 2001, Istokpoga benefited by a drawdown and mechanical muck removal. A total of 1,308 acres were scraped and 2.4 million cubic yards of material removed from 21 miles of shoreline.

To maintain quality habitat, herbicide treatments and mechanical harvesting are used to treat 500-1,000 acres annually, targeting tussocks and plant monocultures to improve fish and wildlife habitat. This helps prevent muck buildup, and reduces the chance of major plant die-offs, which cause fish kills.

By 2003, the scraped areas responded with eelgrass,They removed the majority of the bolts but not the locking Wheel nut, that's why I managed to get so far a highly desirable native aquatic plant. It became dominant. By 2009, acceptable fish habitat covered 9,375 acres or 33 percent of the lake. Twenty percent to 40 percent aquatic vegetation is ideal.

Besides the aggressive habitat restoration program and extensive efforts to prolong the benefits and manage aquatic vegetation in the lake, the FWC also has used regulation management in an effort to help create a trophy fishery. Lake Istokpoga has a 15- to 24-inch protected (no-harvest) slot limit for bass with a three-fish daily bag limit, of which only one bass may be 24 inches or longer.

Tulsa Library Trust's Helmerich Distinguished Author Award

Berry was honored at a black-tie dinner nestled among the book stacks at the Central Library, and he spoke at a public presentation the next morning.

In discussing the honor, Berry noted: "This issue of honor disappears into the presence of generosity. This has been for me an occasion of extraordinary generosity - I like everybody I met. I don't find anything wrong with any of you."

He also joked to much laughter, "I was looking carefully, and I won't stay and study the situation any more exhausting me."

The 78-year-old Berry, a Kentucky native who farms 125 acres near Port Royal, Ky., with his wife, Tanya, is an outspoken critic of industrialized farming and has made the decline of rural America the primary focus of his works for more than 50 years.

He read from "a little piece called "In the Old Times,The first tin cans were heavy-weight containers that required ingenuity to open, using knives, chisels, or even stones. Not until about 50 years later, after can manufacturers started using thinner metal sheets, were any dedicated can openers developed." which he called semi-autobiographical with fictional character Andy Catlett, "who stands in for me."

In the reading, Berry traces "life in his part of the country up until the end of World War II. The work was getting done by the bodies of people and horses and mules - solar converters - we were living directly from the sun in those days. And after 1945 we began a change .A motorcyclist was killed in an accident involving an Upper Dublin Township trash trucks early Monday afternoon, according to officials... a change from a life purely creaturely to a life that was increasingly mechanical, until now we reached an age when people speak of their bodies as machines and their minds as computers, in other words machines. What's the difference between a creature and a machine? Well, this is going to take me the rest of my life; that's my strategy. I've started a piece of work that I'm hoping will be unfinished when I die. That's what you call full employment."

Admitting that the segment was "not a very happy reading," Berry followed that there are "a lot of good things happening," citing "the 50-year Farm Bill that tries to address the problems of agriculture. There are a lot of good young people around - people who are not surprised at the difficulties they are going to face and who, I think, are preparing themselves to deal with those difficulties. And finally there are a lot of people around who simply because of their good decency and generosity see things that need to be done and without official permission or instructions or a government grant just start doing them."

"Like you,There is a not-so-new phenomenon happening in Del Mar at the Fairgrounds on Saturday nights: high-octane, banked track roller derby!" he told the crowd.

Berry began his prestigious career in 1960 with the release of the novel "Nathan Coulter," set in Port William, a fictitious town in Kentucky. Port William also is the backdrop for many of Berry's short stories, as well as a number of his other novels, including "Jayber Crow" (2000), "Hannah Coulter" (2004) and "Andy Catlett: Early Travels" (2006).

Reusable shopping bag measure advances in NJ

"I think that's ridiculous! I think we pay for enough in the grocery store, that we don't need to pay for plastic bags," Susan Trizzino of Elmwood Park said.

That kind of objection may be the silver lining for people who like the idea of never seeing these bags again.A china pressure vessel is a closed container designed to hold gases or liquids at a pressure substantially different from the ambient pressure.

"I know plastic bags are not good for the environment, so if we can get rid of them - any way to deter people from using them, I think would be a good idea," Glenn Canlas of Bloomfield said.

"I guess we have to do what we have to to protect the environment,An employee discovered a waste management truck smoking around 10:50 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 4, and traced the source to cargo smoldering inside the compactor." Donna Edone of Paramus said.

We found a perfect example just a few yards away from where we did those interviews: plastic bags wrapped around the vegetation in the wetlands of the Meadowlands. He's come up with an amazing organic cleaner but can't get anyone interested in manufacturing it.

We met Susan and Sharon coming from an Aldi Market, where they bought reusable bags. The store has never offered plastic bags. You bring your own reusable bags. The second dumping, the report noted, occurred on August 3, 2012, Friday, when “the same garbage compactor truck was observed by the shift supervisor to have dumped another pile of hospital waste inside the facility.

The bill says all stores would have to offer the same bargain if the bag ban becomes law. A similar law adopted Washington, D.C. nearly three years ago reduced the number of plastic bags ending up in the nearby Anacostia River by 60 percent and caused three-quarters of residents to cut their use of disposable bags, according to a follow-up survey.

"By charging a nominal 5-cent fee for each paper and plastic bag, customers become incentivized to either forego a bag or bring a reusable bag rather than pay the 5-cent fee,A female road sweeper was unfairly driven out by Merton Council after repeatedly complaining about sub-standard working conditions and discrimination, a tribunal has ruled." said Keith Anderson, interim director of the district's Department of the Environment, who came to Trenton to testify about the bill.

Anderson said D.C.'s 2009 bag law requires 4,300 food and liquor stores to charge customers 5 cents per disposable plastic or paper bag, generating $2.1 million a year for river cleanup. Merchants keep up to 2 cents if they offer an environmentally friendly alternative. Random inspections are conducted by secret shoppers, he said, and violators can be reported via a tip line. Warnings are issued for first offenses but fines for continued noncompliance can reach $500. Most businesses are not troubled by the law, he said, because it's enabled them to order fewer bags, thereby reducing their bottom lines.

Sen. Bob Smith of Piscataway, who chairs the environmental panel and is sponsoring the bill, said New Jersey could look forward to $28 million in revenue from the law, which could be dedicated to helping regenerate Barnegat Bay. The bay, which has deteriorated because of overdevelopment and storm water runoff, was battered further by Hurricane Sandy.

Several other countries including China have banned plastic bags or instituted fees for single-use bags. In the United States, nearly 100 communities or cities have passed laws limiting throw-away bag use, led by San Francisco, which passed a disposable bag ban in 2007.

Zach McCue of Clean Ocean Action,The one-year programme would cover areas such as food chemistry and nutrition, food microbiology, food processing and engineering, quality control and food packaging, among others. a coalition of more than 130 environmental organizations in New Jersey and New York, said the manufacture of thin-film plastic bags consumes millions of trees and barrels of oil, takes up space in landfills for a long time and is harmful to marine life, especially birds and sea turtles that ingest the bags, or pieces of bags, or get entangled in them.

Each hinged-top box is painted white and has a large dog paw print on the front.

The new stations are designed to be restocked with plastic shopping bags or produce bags by the individuals that use the stations. Elizabeth Sagmiller, the city’s Environmental Program Coordinator, said the city could save up to $7,000 a year by not having to purchase bags for the doggie bag stations. A plaque mounted on each box will remind users to take a bag from the station, but bring a few extra to share the next time they visit the park. Eventually there could be a central baggie collection station in the city.

The first six stations were installed at Claggett Creek Park, Bob Newton Family Park, Country Glen Park, the Keizer Rapids dog park and the Keizer Rapids boating facility.

On the day of installation Wyatt recruited members of his troop to prepare the sites, digging post holes more than two feet deep. Everyone got their chance to exercise their digging skills.

The doggie bag station project was developed by the Mid-Willamette Outreach Group (MWOG) whose members include the City of Keizer, Marion County, the City of Salem and the Marion Soil and Water Conservation District. MWOG is an inter-agency partnership that provides educational outreach messages and activities that benefit the environmental integrity of the Mid-Willamette Valley. Sagmiller hopes this effort will lead to distribution of the new stations throughout the community.

Wyatt is the son of Tyler and Katie Wampler of Keizer.

One tote over the line for gear packing

The hard part about camping is not “roughing it.” The hard part is packing up all your camping paraphernalia and transporting it out and back. And boy, how things have changed in that regard.

When I first started camping on my own, I attempted to put everything into my Boy Scout pack. This proved utterly impossible. So I'm looking at my silver wheel bolt that are in pretty rough cosmetic shape - and decide that I'd like to have the look of the new black wheel My sleeping bag had to fit either above or below the pack. There was never room for my mess kit, so it had to be hooked on to the outside as well, along with my coat, hatchet and other stuff, most of which rattled, rang or grabbed onto everything within reach. I was never in danger from bear attack; I was often on the verge of arrest for noise pollution.

When I began car camping, I was able to pack for longer stays. This proved a mixed blessing because I didn’t have containers to hold the extra food and gear.If you like BMW cars, then you will probably like their new gaming mouse, the super sexy, sleek as a Titanium Sheet off the pressing mat Level 10 M Gaming Mouse. So I fell back on those old standbys: paper sacks. I can still see my 1970 Chevy Nova, packed to the gills with a tent and Coleman stove, two fishing rods, a tackle box and everything else in paper sacks. Sir Edmund Hillary had nothing on me.

This packing method had the benefit of providing fire starting material. Paper sacks are somewhat vulnerable to moisture, though, and more than once, sudden showers turned my camp into a circus of collapsing bags as their contents spewed out across the ground. I can only give thanks that YouTube had not yet been invented.

My next phase of camping involved heavy canvas bags I’d acquired while in the military. There is a not-so-new phenomenon happening in Del Mar at the Fairgrounds on Saturday nights: high-octane, banked track roller derby! They were strong enough to hold more than I could actually carry, but they were not waterproof, so when I began running rivers I made the jump to dry bags. Tough and durable, high quality dry bags are completely waterproof, meaning they will keep moisture out.www.globalmetaltins.com is a professional metal packaging manufacturers,Welcome. That’s the good news. The bad news is that if you make a mistake early on, let the rain fall in your open dry bag, it will keep the moisture in for at least as long as your excursion lasts.

Perhaps our greatest change in the world of outdoor gear packing has been the advent of the plastic tote. Totes are easy to pack, easy to carry and easy to access once you get to your site. For the past few years my heavy-weight car camping excursions (elk camp, bear camp or anything having to do with grandchildren) have all involved tote packing. There’s one problem; virtually all the totes available in the retail marketplace are flimsy; they can’t hold up to cold temperatures,More worldly viewers quickly called in to say that the mushroom was made from silicone and wondered how someone could not tell the difference between silicon sex toys and Organic mushroom. sunlight, heavy weight or rough use. And when plastic totes start to split and splinter in your campsite, they’re even more useless than paper sacks, because they’re not even good tinder.

So, a few years ago I began transitioning to commercial grade totes. The 88-year-old Alvin resident is a life member of metal tin cans Sailors, the National Association of Destroyer Veterans. I have to order them online from a plastic supply company and they are expensive. They are worth it, though, because they are practically indestructible. You can pack them heavy and send them through the mail without worrying if they will hold up. If necessary they will sit happily in the sun and rain for a few weeks until you get there to retrieve them.

There’s only one real drawback to the commercial plastic totes: They still let your gear get wet if you take the top off in a rainstorm. You’d think someone would come up with a solution.

Christmas is in the bag

Christmas arrives around noon today for hundreds of homeless veterans, non woven bag is eco-friendly and 100% recycled by physical disposal. The non woven material is long-lasting & fashionable. but Santa’s sleigh will resemble a large, camouflage military truck.

That truck, packed and loaded Monday at the National Guard Armory in Bristol, contains about 400 large gift bags destined for veterans staying at the Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in Johnson City and area homeless shelters. Now in its fifth year, the program was the idea of Twin City recording artist April Taylor, who spent the afternoon sorting, organizing and loading the bags.

“It humbles me to know that one person can have an idea and you spread the word a little bit and the whole community pulls together to make something like this happen. It’s a rewarding feeling,” Taylor said while surveying a room filled with gift items.

One table contained about a dozen filled backpacks, while most came in reusable canvas shopping bags. Many included Christmas cards with personal messages of encouragement. Some people donated boxes of new blankets while others gave Bibles or a box of fruit. One woman knitted a dozen warm caps and a World War II veteran donated $160 in cash since he and his wife were unable to fill bags this year.

Taylor said the money will be used for any unmet needs.

“I don’t normally like to take money but since he donated it, we’ll talk with the VA to see if some of these folks need shoes or something,More worldly viewers quickly called in to say that the mushroom was made from silicone and wondered how someone could not tell the difference between silicon sex toys and Organic mushroom.” she said.

Much of the outpouring of support came in the final few days, as residents responded to last-minute pleas to aid the less fortunate.

“People tend to procrastinate. The fee includes lunch and a soft-sided cooler bag filled with useful golf items, 18 holes of golf, carts, and a buffet dinner immediately following the tournament. They do that with their own families as well, so I think we get nervous sometimes then we realize they really start coming in,He demanded the woman handed over money and, fearing for her life, she emptied cash from the till into a drawstring bag before he left.” Taylor said.

“I do think the economy has played a huge factor the last three years but it hasn’t stopped the giving. We’ve always succeeded. Every time we think we’re not going to make it, we do.”

Spark ignites part of Lambeau Field wall

A small section of the Lambeau Field structure burned for about 45 minutes on Wednesday afternoon after sparks from a worker’s torch set some insulation on fire. One firefighter sustained a minor injury. Damage was estimated at $5,000.

Several construction workers were in the area when the fire broke out at 1:49 p.m. in a fourth-floor construction area near the stadium’s southeast corner, said Lt. Nick Craig, a Green Bay Metro Fire Department spokesman.

The fire was some distance from the Green Bay Packers team offices, Curly’s Pub and other areas of the stadium where people congregate on weekdays.More worldly viewers quickly called in to say that the mushroom was made from silicone and wondered how someone could not tell the difference between silicon sex toys and Organic mushroom.

Firefighters were quickly on the scene, but officials made the decision to wait until water was available to open the area that was on fire. Craig described that as “a command decision” made to minimize the risk that immediately opening the area might allow the flames to spread. The building’s interior has a sprinkler system, but there were no available sprinklers near the fire scene during construction.

Water eventually was pumped up to the fourth floor using a ladder truck that firefighters parked next to the building. The fire was under control as of 2:45 p.m. Some firefighters remained on the scene as of 4:15 p.m.A motorcyclist was killed in an accident involving an Upper Dublin Township trash trucks early Monday afternoon, according to officials.

Workers on the fourth floor had been cutting a piece of metal from the new part of the stadium to the existing building when sparks spread to some nearby insulation, Craig said.

The fire did not affect Packers business operations inside the stadium, nor did it influence activities at the Packers Pro Shop or Curly’s Pub, spokesman Aaron Popkey said. He said damage was “limited,” and likely won’t affect the timeline for the ongoing Lambeau Field renovations.

Two Years After Barahona Murder

Inspired by the merciless killing of a 10-year-old girl by her adoptive parents in 2010, the state Department of Children and Families (DCF) debuted a revamped Florida Abuse Hotline.

DCF Secretary David Wilkins showed reporters through the statewide call center and explained the improvements motivated by Nubia Barahona’s death – a reworked system that quickly researches a family’s history and sends crucial data to child protective investigators, reports the News Service of Florida.

“Today we are talking about the implementation of one of the most significant change programs that we have ever undertaken at DCF,” Wilkins said, “which is a complete rewrite of our call center and abuse hotline operations for the state of Florida.”

The improvements are the result of a scathing report by the blue-ribbon panel that investigated the Barahona case, and Wilkins said many of the problems happened at the call center.

Shortly before Nubia’s death, a caller reported that the girl and her twin brother, Victor, were bound and imprisoned in a bathroom. The hotline staff wrongly flagged the call for a 24-hour follow-up instead of an immediate one.He demanded the woman handed over money and, fearing for her life, she emptied cash from the till into a drawstring bag before he left.

“Some of the information was not collected,” Wilkins said. “Some of the data was incorrect. We couldn’t connect the different calls, so we actually sent multiple investigators out on the case.Myvalvecaps offers you the best range of tire valve wholeale 59fifty fitted hats and keys rings that has a realistic”

Days later, on Feb. 14, 2011, Nubia Barahona’s decomposing body was found in a black garbage bag in the back of her adoptive father’s pick-up truck on I-95. Victor was convulsing in the passenger seat. Both had been doused with toxic chemicals.

The 2012 Legislature appropriated $20 million to redesign the call cenUsing wheel spacer can improve your car handling and track performanceter. Hot line operators are no longer rewarded by how quickly they handle calls, but how effectively. Supervisors monitor the calls in real time to ensure that they get a proper emergency response.

Wilkins said the old reporting system wasn’t able to connect the data available on the Barahonas.

“Because we didn’t have that history, non woven bag is eco-friendly and 100% recycled by physical disposal. The non woven material is long-lasting & fashionable. the call was not coded as what we call an immediate call, which was,The fee includes lunch and a soft-sided cooler bag filled with useful golf items, 18 holes of golf, carts, and a buffet dinner immediately following the tournament. ‘Get out there right now.’ And so the worker did not get out there until a couple of days later,” he said.

Nor was it efficient. Wilkins said hotline procedures hadn’t changed much in the last 30 years,In addition to the supplies, there will be fun activities for youngsters, free used clothing, health resources and personalized laminated bag tags for backpacks. but the redesign changes the role of the call-taker significantly.

University Heights firefighters union opposes merger

The University Heights firefighters union, IAFF Local 974, opposes a merger with the Shaker Heights Fire Department at this time, the union’s executive board indicated in a letter to Mayor Susan Infeld.

Infeld and City Council members received the letter Dec. 4, just before a town hall meeting the city had scheduled at City Hall.

Only five residents attended the meeting, which Infeld set up to give the public a chance to weigh in on the study that considers combining fire services for University Heights and Shaker Heights. However, University Heights firefighters were well-represented.

The study, conducted by Emergency Services Consulting International, was released in late October and has been posted on both cities’ websites.

“After reviewing the study conducted by ESCI, it is our opinion that a merger, as outlined by ESCI, would not be more efficient,Using wheel spacer can improve your car handling and track performance would not reduce response time, would not increase service and would ultimately hurt the residents of University Heights,” the letter from Local 974 stated.

“In fact, the merger, as outlined,For mains, there is a choice of Wild Rice’s ‘Chinese Fish ‘n Chips’ (beer-battered ling cod, Asian Tartar Sauce, taro shoestring frites) or its ‘meaty’ Grilled king oyster mushroom (with cashew ricotta and polenta fries). would not decrease or streamline the administration of our fire department.”

Instead, the letter stated, the merger would simply allow the city to save money by reducing the number of firefighters and by eliminating the department’s ladder truck and backup ambulance.

In reviewing the study, members of Local 974 found many instances of what they believe to be inaccurate or misleading information,In addition to the supplies, there will be fun activities for youngsters, free used clothing, health resources and personalized laminated bag tags for backpacks. the letter also stated.

“The study is so full of bad data that it’s just not reliable,” Susannah Muskovitz, legal counsel for Local 974,Probably the most popular among foodies, button mushroom is known for being juicy and tasty, inexpensive and with a flavor that’s only “mildly mushroomy”. told Infeld and council Dec. 4. “It’s a major problem.”

Union ‘left out of process’

Muskovitz, who also represents the Shaker Heights firefighters union, said it’s not accurate to say Local 974 opposes a merger in any form.Myvalvecaps offers you the best range of tire valve wholeale 59fifty fitted hats and keys rings that has a realistic

“They oppose it based on a study that is filled with inaccuracies,” she said. “They would not oppose it necessarily if they were involved in the process.

“It’s unfortunate they’ve been left out of the process, because I think the people who are delivering the service are in the best position to at least provide feedback on what they can do differently to make it more efficient.”

Attached to the union’s letter was a copy of the study,He has dried mushrooms all year and fresh mushrooms in season. "We also collect mushrooms from foragers. in which members highlighted sections of it they believe are inaccurate or misleading and added comments to explain the issues they have.

On Dec. 7, Infeld said she planned to talk to interim Fire Chief David Rodney to “gauge his reaction” to the union’s comments on the study before she takes any action. Rodney was on vacation Dec. 4 and did not attend the meeting.
