Royal family member robbed of precious stones worth Rs 300 crore

In a sensational heist, Harihara Varma a diamond trader identified as a member of a royal family in Kerala was found murdered and robbed of precious stones worth around Rs 300 crores at his friend's home at Thiruvananthapuram on Monday afternoon.

The murder is reported to have occurred when Varma, who is said to be a member of Mavelikkara royal family, was trying to sell diamonds which he inherited from his family to a gang at the home of his friend advocate Haridas at Kairali Nagar Puthoorkonam in the city.
