Red-hot Mustangs bag Salt Lake Moose

Six different Mustangs found the net and goalie Tyler Fallica stopped 27 Salt Lake shots as Ogden started off 2013 with a 6-1 win over the Moose at the Weber County Ice Sheet on Friday night.

Ogden held a 5-2 series advantage over the Moose coming into Friday’s matchup and had outscored Salt Lake 34-13 in the first seven games the in-state rivals played.

After a power-play goal midway through the first period from Zach O’Mara, Christian Kraus rounded out scoring in the first for Ogden and showed why he’s leading the Mustang offense when he battled through a slew of Moose defenders to hammer in a puck just inside the crease with 15 seconds on the clock.

Kraus finished the night scoring a game-high three points with the goal and two assists.

The Mustangs didn’t let up in the second as defenseman Ben Russell wound up from just inside the blue line and slid a puck past Talon Miller who had relieved Burdekin in-goal for the Moose.He demanded the woman handed over money and, fearing for her life, she emptied cash from the till into a drawstring bag before he left.
